Who can play in SAPA
Any alumni player over the age of 18 can compete in a SAPA team.
Alumni players are students who have either been a member of SUPA at senior school or University. Current University Students may also play in SAPA teams, as long as they have entered at least one other SUPA division. Current students may not make up the majority of a SAPA team. Registered SAPA players must account for at least 50% of the players on a SAPA team. This ruling may change year on year, at the discretion of the tournament committee.
To play in SAPA
SAPA members must be a current paid-up member of SUPA and registered under “SAPA”, thereby agreeing to the rules and code of conduct for all events.
Horse hire must be sourced before entering the event.
Advanced players or anyone who hasn’t played much since leaving school/university may need to attend chukkas before a hirer will agree to hire to you. This is at the hirer’s discretion based on competency and safety for their horses.
Please ensure that you have paid a deposit to secure your horse hire, do not rely on verbal agreements
