Welcome to the Ladies Section.
Ladies only polo is taking off internationally and here at SUPA we are encouraging girls of school age to participate in matches against each other as well as playing in mixed team matches. If your school is not currently a member, ask your Director of Sports to register your school and sign up your players. Please note that you do not need to be at an all girls school to participate.
Historically we held two championships a year for ladies only, one in March in the arena and one during the summer term on grass. These championships have now been encompassed within the Senior Schools championship days and are a very well attended. Many of our girls go onto to compete at a very high level within the wider polo community.
You do not need to own a pony to be a part of the SUPA family. There are plenty of Polo Schools out there, with brilliant coaches and lovely horses who will teach you and hire a pony to you so that you can compete. To find your nearest affiliated club, HPA school/Academy visit the HPA website.
You can also join in with Pony Club Polo, giving you access to more polo during the school holidays.
You can still join SUPA even if your school does not play polo, we welcome everyone of all abilities.Welcome to the sport and fun of playing polo at school.
Gill Glimmerveen is the Section Manager for Ladies School as well as the Equestrian Co-ordinator for Heathfield School and is a past polo player herself.
